48.51 California: Palm Springs: South Lykken trail rises above the city steeply. 48.52 South Lykken from another approach.

When a person gazes into the distance from above, the sights viewed provide deeper perspective—it’s another dimension in play. 

First obstacle is to get above and past that crest.
Second challenge is to hitch a ride/flight on the way down.
The third hurdle is to get close to the group before it can consider us hostile.
A further challenge is to get out of Dodge, away from the mass housing and living conditions.
Plan seems to be falling into place as long as nobody falls.
Besides keeping a close watch on us, they are still comfortable.
A little off-trail exploring.
Even a waterfall.
I suppose a little (lot) side-tracked.
Jen reaches a high point.
Jen does what she does so well.
We chased after the plane but they did not allow a late boarding. Apparently, our masks were too sweaty.
Jen had to walk down as there was room for only one more on the helicopter. What can a person do.
Guy on the left looks rather regal. Now with an opening at Buckingham Palace, will he take the gap?
