69.28 Bulgaria: Smolyan/Pamporovo. Color at via ferrata and then some more from this incredible position above the city and sunburbs.

Whenever we visit this region, we have an attraction for 'via ferrata', the climbing of sheer mountain walls using the hand-and-foot metal rungs, making our way to the top. I understand one should have the formal gear which includes ropes, lanyard, helmets and the rest of the equipment. It's a good idea but...

Once again, we took advantage of the deserted area, climbed up-and-back and then continued onward to attain really great, colorful and exquisite sights, further ahead. There's nothing like height to give one a different perspective of the surround, usually a more attractive view than from lower levels. See what you think!

A view from the mountain of what appears artificial coloring.
The pond below through the telephoto lense.
A small pond to the right.
A country lane.
We would describe the scene as 'stunning'.
One tree rescues the darkening scene.
And yet again, Snezhanka Tower makes an appearance...never far out of sight within the region, once one gains elevation.
A mountain wall supported with color.
Looking up at the 'ferrata wall'. (As Jen was not with me, I cannot verify where I climbed.)
Standing above the top of the "ferrata wall".
Part way up the wall.
The following 4 show an array of color, thick coverage, forests, rocks, mountains and water.
Cheers,

Jenni and Jeffrey

A photograph from a previous trip. No proof but I did get up again on this trip.
