21.05 Keilia Hike to Peak, contrasting wild and calm weather on each side of mountain. 21.06 Lighthouse in rain

Swell ocean swells viewed from cliff.

Gale-force winds were intimidating, restricting our stay at the peak.

A view from the trail of a blowhole.

The Makua Valley, viewed from the summit in torrid conditions.

The breakers from the side, show a broadside not easily seen from the shore.

The winds, clouds and mountains combined to create a dramatic atmosphere.

Quite taken in by the number of swells forming and of course, the colors

Near a 'pillbox' on Lighthouse walk following heavy rain.

We suppose that's the lighthouse.

Editor after taking a good soaking following heavy rains. Stops to rest before 'pillbox' after running
to get out of rain; then blue skies return.

Another captivating scene on a rather, wait for it,...dull Hawaiian day.

Standing below 'pillbox' observing the horizon in case US radar fails.

Cheers,

Jenni and Jeffrey
