47.10 Lees Ferry, Arizona: Second hike up Spencer Trail: A Second summary. Equally spectacular.

We suggested the other day that a person should undertake this hike more than once. We did a few days later. We also said on the second occasion, one should not take a camera. We took a camera. We snapped 160 pictures and then had to choose only a handful. Imagine how difficult that is. We deferred a final selection by choosing a few for a summary...again. We're indecisive.

We commenced the hike at 6:30am in order to capture a different atmosphere from the previous experience. We did indeed. Frankly, we had the trail to ourselves on both occasions but for two couples we met on the way down. In fact, on the second occasion, they were from San Diego and knew common friends. For the record, none of our friends are that common...we think.

It was a wow sight...they all are.

A little dark early on and refreshing in the cool weather...for an hour or two more.

Exploring higher up on the cliffs.

Spot Jenni.

"Nothings quite as pretty as the Colorado in the morning"...with apologies to the composer.

Really was another spectacular occasion.

The official Arizona High Divingboard venue, which is only partly up the canyon wall.

The amazing canyon walls of the Colorado River.

Walk-about on the trail edge.

On the previous hiking occasion, light was better later in the morning than today's. However, the early morning light on this hike was top class.
