The end of the road.
To all those good people who responded to our previous blog and expressed concern for injuries sustained, we want to express our gratitude to both of you, especially Mom.
Obviously, one should always be honest, for integrity after all, is a vital aspect of society. Of course, this is fully supported by the political class who continue to take the lead by example. Nevertheless, I was not forthcoming about our experiences at Gold Strike Canyon and the boulder hopping and rope climbing we supposedly undertook. It seemed so exciting and impressive that I got carried away reporting activities and subsequent injuries. It turns out that I sustained a few injuries, nothing too serious, and I did feel the after effects for a few days. Embarrassing as it is, I admit the injuries followed from falling out of bed after Jenni shoved me, on a couple of occasions. Who would have thought? You know you've lost it when the wife throws you out of her bed.
I have become rather cautious though while continuing to learn everyday. One never knows where the next attack or injury is likely to arise. To this end, I am ensuring that all future bookings of motels/hotels will be for accommodation on ground floors. Surviving a two feet drop from bed is reasonable but from upper levels--far too risky.
We've noticed from time-to-time, that some people misinterpret the text we write. At times, things written in jest are taken seriously and text written in earnest, treated lightly. Obviously, the fault is ours but we suggest the aforegoing should be read while partaking of a meal. In that way, you can add a 'pinch of salt' to it.
Bon Appetit!
