47.42 Arizona: Kingman Wash wandering...invariably in wonder. 47.49 Same area, effectively Nevada, different hike, color galore.

A view of Lake Mead from Arizona side. The border of Nevada and Arizona runs along the middle of the lake. On days of turbulence in the water (not the country), it can be rather tricky to know one's status (state-wise).

Wandering into the desert, off trail.

A mix of 'glass' and water.

Not smug, just happy.
The distinctive Fortification 'Hill'. The road to the trailhead has deteriorated so we have not been up to the peak since 2018.

Picture taken earlier from summit of Fortification Hill, the mountain shown in picture above.

Some of our favorite scenes of desert color.

Tell tale sign of wind velocity.
The highpoint of this wandering. The approach to the mountain is on the other side.

The colors of the water are different each day. What a daily show!

Cheers,

Jenni and Jeffrey
