This was a relatively short hike that is part of the Arizona Trail, one that travels extensively through and about the state. What was particularly enjoyable about it was the inclines and descents are balanced in both directions. In addition, we moved off the trail to reach a peak that we had seen from the other side of the bridge. Reaching the top made for an exciting climax, although like most things, was more difficult than anticipated. It's the story of one our lives.
Fascinated by this bridge. Before this hike, we'd only been on the other side of it. (We'd take both sides...supposedly, you could say 'We've looked at bridge (life) from both sides now".)
The prickly 'pair', on the way home.
Re-joining a trail after going off-trail to seek a peak.
The trail to the left on the opposite side is the fabulous Vineyard hike. Superb!
The effort.
and the reward.
Cheers,
Jenni and Jeffrey
