50.35 Utah: Salt Lake City: Red Buttes via ridge, no formal trail.

The very rough 'trail' follows the ridge to the peak. The peak is well beyond the false top in the photograph.

Probably the first snow of the season (September). Happy Days!

The Capitol Building. Impressive from the peak. Inside...that's another matter.
It really is a rough passage to reach and return from the peak via the ridge. Earlier, we approached it via the formal trail, very much easier although longer.

Some rocks to add a bit more flavor.
Near the peak, we peer over the side and lo and behold, a dam.
Some places require balancing skills.
