The Tonto National Forest, particularly the region surrounding Roosevelt Lake, is quite spectacular. The colors stand out, the shapes are wonderful, the lighting creates much variation and the views have differed at every hiking path. It's another location where a person can hunker down for a while, mixing one's days with exploration and a fulfilling a hobby back at the chalet.
The silence of the desert follows...quietly:
Heading into the wilderness via the Tule Trail
"Yes? Who are you looking at?"
Cheers,
Jenni and Jeffrey
