56.11 Arizona: Tonto Basin: A hike on an overgrown trail that did not pan out quite as expected.

Setting the scene to establish what part of the world we find ourselves. Roosevelt Lake/Dam.
An overgrown trail that set the scene for a prickly beginning. We changed direction after nearly an hour and had to find amusement elsewhere.
The water heater at our little house in the desert (delightful place—don't want to leave) failed. Thereafter, the water was shut off. Fortunately, we were able to hydrate later that morning.
Camp Reno: 'Sign of the times': Established to 'keep an eye' on the Apaches in 1868. You can, despite the age, notice she has worn relatively well—the sign, too.
A stockade wall where naughty girls are locked. Be careful, Girl.
With his back to the wall, just contemplating Mount Ord is enough to bring on fatigue.
'I talk to the trees, but they don't hear me; I implore the stock market...hmm! Worse than trees.'
It's all too much for him and so he throws a tantrum.
The last thing a person wants to take...is a bath on Wall Street.
In Tonto Basin, hygiene is paramount. Vehicles' undercarriages require twice daily washing, especially tyres. (Okay, okay. I still struggle to spell tires with an 'i'.) Seriously, this develops into a a real issue. We've had one scare and rain is ahead.
Unfortunately, I find the only females that will even consider giving me a second glance are these types. Notice the level of excitement. By the way, she only 'looks horny'. Of course, it begs the question, what's wrong with Jen?
'Sitting on the fence' is not a good idea; however, it's fine to straddle a wall.

Thank goodness, most of our hikes are usually tough, and we suppose, serious.

Cheers,

Jenni and Jeffrey
