62.03 Nevada: A spectacular sight of three peaks from our high point: The Frenchman (Sunrise Mountain), Mount Charleston, and Lava Butte.

It does not matter how much time we spend in this region or how many hikes we undertake in the area, it seems that each occasion is spectacular. The views from a new hike, that took us through Owl Canyon, and thereafter, to a peak beyond, provides a new view of icons that we have reached before. Rather than express anything further about the undertaking and views, we wonder whether you, too, observe what we witness. The hike will be published at a later stage.

I have a new restriction imposed upon me. It prohibits the mention of the color and beauty of Lake Mead and the Colorado River more than 4 times in any twenty-four-hour period. Also, in terms of section 83 of the JenniferB Act, I have to restrict publishing photographs of the said sights, too. I believe it may be as long as a couple of weeks. I'm heartbroken for I believe, when a person is tired of Lake Mead and the surrounds, one is tired of life.

Jenni's first occasion on the peak of Lava Butte, some years back.
From distance, the remarkable coloring, texture and sight of Lava Butte with The Frenchman behind.

A view of Mount Charleston, perhaps 50 miles distant.
On the way to the Frenchman, the last of 4 climbs.
Some color as we rise to a good vantage position.
A view from the peak of The Frenchman.
Jen develops tunnel vision and perhaps fear of the unknown. I waited for her while she searched for the light at the end of the tunnel. Someone had to take the picture...right? After Owl Canyon, enroute to a peak (together).
Cheers,

Jenni and Jeffrey
