65.7: A Selection from Iceland: A look back some 11 years to remind us of this amazing land.

We interrupt the trip to Tenerife and Andorra to take a break and revisit another incredible place: Iceland. There are a large number of photographs, much greater than usual, but we try to paint a picture of Iceland. Many of the sights seem to be paintings themselves except, far superior. It truly is another beautiful place on Earth. We have as a first, omitted most captions, because of laziness, poor memories, language difficulties and a wish to highlight the images mostly alone.

Jen finds herself in a maze of rocks at Akra.
On the 'Ring Road', we spent our nights in one of these...typical 1-bedroom, kitchen and dining with outside bathroom. Being July, the outside bathroom was always 'lit', only dimming from 1am in the morning. Think of the implications when nature called.
Peak of Mount Sulur, Akureyri.
'Somewhere over the rainbow'.
Splendid Godafoss Falls.
On Mount Sulur.
Cheers,

Jenni and Jeffrey

Years ago, someone called me 'wet behind the ears'. Perhaps she should have waited for this opportunity.
We provided much mirth to these locals. Two hikers we had passed earlier apparently mentioned that we were wearing crampons. These two wished to see it for themselves. In addition, they were in summer outfits while we weren't. They took pleasure in elucidating that it was mid-summer. It's nice to know we are amusing even without trying.
