That's done it. I refuse to chase after Jenni on downhills for fear of getting wet. (Joseph Grant Regional, Santa Clara.)
A few minutes earlier she told me she did not want to sit on a rock because of snakes under the leaves and bark. Am I missing something? Is bark worse than bite? (Alum Rock Park, San Jose)
Jen burns up a fortune of energy these days. Global warming issue? (Below Las Trampas Peak, San Ramon.)
This is our new weekly gameshow: "Spot the Critter".
No 'flies' on her. Since a cow butted Jen in Nepal, she has developed a little fear. I'm finding the only people or animals attracted to me these days are cows (Some truth in that). Do opposites attract? (Las Trampas)
'Can you imagine my delight when we reached the peak and saw all my potential buddies?' (Peak of Baccardo Loop, Alum Rock.)
'Man on the Moon'. Steep as all heck/ Garin and Dry Creek Parks, South-east Bay.
We were eyeing properties in this city. I said, "One couldn't 'swing a cat' in those backyards."
"Not to worry," my better half replied, "Good thing we don't have a cat."
She followed through, "But look at the pool and the dunes." (Ed Levin Regional Park overlooking South Bay to Monument Peak).
Delightful surprise in finding De Valle Lake, Livermore. There's water in California...one has to know where to seek.
A diamond in the rough. The regional parks are close to the cities and yet one feels remote once on the trails. We've enjoyed them all.
Cheers,
Jenni and Jeffrey
Breaking news! Jen tries to fund the police department. Seeking a new hiking partner. (Bribe failed miserably.)
