Mount Teide and clouds in a perpetual struggle.
We're still moving upwards...what's new?
We're getting close to 'home', cautious, but keeping an eye on the parking lot below. Proved to be an attractive sight. Loved the contrast with the lush vegetation of most of the island.
Mount Teide in winter from the north, a couple of years earlier, a 'younger and fresher' looking volcano.
We welcomed the light, we shut out the noise, we tried to stand tall as we negotiated the rocks, cliffs, slopes and especially, the gusting winds. We returned having lived and experienced a mere iota of the Earth's offerings. Carpe Diem!
