Chamonix, France. A treasure of-and-in the high mountains, a wonderful experience.
Jen on the way back after reaching a highpoint well above her current position.
Not that much of a highpoint but rather, a tricky position.
The cable-car delivers passengers to the peak or, one can hike to the top and dare say, back down. Indicates much of the human spirit of adverture. (Aiguille du Midi, in the Mont Blanc Masssif of the French Alps).
Jen leaving France and entering Switzerland, quite the international traveler/hiker.
On the way back from a pretty exciting adventure. Chamonix, considered the birthplace of modern mountaineering.
Finding its way down from the peak.
Jen looks a little confused as she makes her way toward the higher ground.
Looks like she found what she sought...and pretty nice, too. (Lac Blanc.)
Serene, particularly should one not be in the air.
Superb positioning of a lake...wish I had thought of it.
Jen takes the ladder.
He takes the easier route upwards.
Nice afternoon in the mountains...no, I wasn't lost...perhaps a little mis-directed.
The views and positions are remarkable.
One of the approaches.
The 'thing' is spotted by the alert hiker...we must now determine what the 'it', is.
There she comes, another summit.
It's wild but fascinating, too.
Icicles...Glacier des Bossons.
A different place, another interesting position.
Cold and yet, most attractive, as we move upwards and onward.
A closer view as we spot the icon.(Aiguille du Midi)
Cheers,
