On May 29th, 2010 , we set off on a journey that, without any fear of contradiction, has had a remarkable effect on our lives. In fact, were we to introduce a little hyperbole (if such a concept can be reduced), Hike-about has changed our lives. Without going into any detail, although we believe in showbiz they say: 'Read the book', it has been a lifestyle like no other. Rather than keep usurping excerpts from our manuscript, we thought we would publish a dozen pictures that capture some of the scenes we have had the pleasure and privilege to view. We can't remember a more difficult task—the selection of a mere few from so many. We extended the list by a few and then another few and realized we still omitted favorites. Then we gave up. Only photographs taken less than two years ago were chosen. We hope you enjoy them at least half as much as we do. We would be remiss in not thanking, unfortunately not by name, so many of you who have been a source of knowledge...
