50.05 Parowan, Utah. Noah's Ark, tucked away from the Parks and 'Go-to' places.

There's the Ark. 'Let's take a swim up'. Talking about swimming upstream, we've never swum uphill. Think about it. Typical of the whole hike up.  This was our second of two hikes over a short stay in Parowan as we headed to Northern Utah. We were impressed with what we witnessed and experienced in the small town. The landscapes, being in Utah, can't help but remain impressive. We never did see another soul on the trail other than a young man who was performing maintenance at the campsites. While the hike was not a long one, (thank goodness), it was extremely steep with treacherous sections because of the scree surface, naturally, on the sharpest declines.    We've passed by Parowan a number of times as we've driven along the I-15. We had never stopped in the town until Jen did some investigation of trails in the region.
