47.38 Arizona: Marble Canyon: Spenser Hike (the third) from Lees Ferry on 'the River'.

Image
Sometimes, we act irrationally, in of course, a perfectly rational way. We discovered the Spenser hike from Lees Ferry, undertook it and loved it. We came back 4 days later for a second attempt and then returned to Page after a visit to Colorado and completed it a third time. On each occasion, the experience was different and always most enjoyable. The latest hike took us to another part of the summit, providing different sights and superb rock climbing opportunities and gaining another perspective. The middle hike was at sunrise which varied the scenery because of the gentle light. Should Jenni not be such a spoilsport, who knows, a fourth attempt might have been in the offing.   Don't often get afraid of heights these days but this one gave much pause for thought...and a need to get out of 'Dodge'. Each finding our level of comfort. Jen (right) distances herself far from the camera. (I think it's a 'wrinkles' issue.) A picture of concentration......

Could not resist displaying: Ellie in her stride, Benny and Jenni in awe and Jeffrey feeling referred pain (extreme) in hamstrings (and awe, too)..

A rather simple move for Ellie (seriously).
