I think I have a passion for reflections...more passions, more enjoyment. Besides the beauty, which is at times quite harsh and yet, softens when the sun rises and sets, there is a tranquility, an atmosphere that makes the region, comprising Lake Powell, Glen Canyon Dam, the flow of the one and only river, the Colorado, a very special place. (Also, makes me write long sentences.) At the lake, which appears to be a river to us, one is surrounded by magnificent colors, obviously various shades of blue and hues of reds and yellows. Reflections off the water abound, constantly changing in shape, size and color. Add in the hills extending from water level up and outwards with mountains in the background, and the scenery is complete. We won't even mention the way the river and lake curves, sometimes viciously, creating 'horseshoes' in many places.
