Very anti-social place when it comes to lakes. Most of them 'reside' from 1,000 to many thousands of feet above ground level. One of us ahead, heading through this channel. Jen looks back: A hint there's a lake somewhere higher. That was very smart of us...we reach the lake. We head for a position well above the lake. Jen mentioned we would attain better views. (What did we say about being so smart?) We found it to be a delightful view of just a small section of the water and contents. Waiting for the slower climbers.   We have visited New Zealand on 6 or 7 occasions, the last being in 2017. It seems that when we like a place, we tend to visit as often as possible until we are sated. It appears this is not a principle of moderation and balance. However, it feels like it's time to revisit.
