We spent all day bonding these rocks together. Some 'wise guy' will probably 'ruin' it. Designed by a true artist. Heading down but always seems to be going up. or sideways on occasions. We thought we'd arrived in paradise. Then we remembered we had a steep climb back. How is it possible that things just keeping getting better? After a little descent from the hamlet in the beginning, we spot Taborno Rock. We had no idea what to expect or what it was all about. Having seen it, we hoped to get close. Would it be possible? As we keep dropping into the valley to rise on the other side, Taborno seems to gain height. Jen goes high.   To make a great hike even more enjoyable, it’s necessary to meet good or interesting people. We meet many people on the trails although in absolute terms, the trails are not busy at all. Today, we came across a young Spanish couple who were delightful. Both exuded sweet and modest personalities which made the ten-minute exchange enjoyable but something even deeper. Here she comes...into the bowels of the earth via the crack. Little tricky to get back up from that position...something one has to consider before dropping down into it The least one should do is skip breakfast. Jenni's safe...we'll consider returning from this position later. Smooth surface, short but steep wall: Bring a rope. Glancing through another crack. Eventually, reaching the 'colored' water. Narrow path from another angle, some very tricky sections. After brunch, leaving the campsite. Invariably, steep and slippery. Our fourth variation of an approach to the Lizard Peak. Looking back toward the campsite. On the way from a small peak where we had brunch and now head down and then up toward the Lizard. Jen approaches the Lizard, the peak in the distance, keeping eye on the trail. Negotiating a steep path as she approaches the saddle. Beyond the saddle, she has an eye out for the peak. Reaches Lizard Peak....
